Dr.Berke: The Dialectics of Liberation Conference, July 1967

This film documents Dr Berke's visit to the 2013 Art & the Asylum Exhibition, at the University of Nottingham, which featured a collection of works by Mary Barnes.  It includes a particular focus on the Mary Barnes painting 'Untitled', with a reading of the painting by some current students of the University studying for an MA in counselling.

Dr. Berke's areas of interest included psychoanalysis, psychotherapy, psychosis, therapeutic communities, transpersonal psychology and treating the 'untreatable'. Other major areas of interest included Judaism, and the Jewish mystical tradition: Kabbalah and Chassidism.
